Biostatistician

Our biostatisticians are integral parts of teams. They collaborate with external clients on studies involving new drugs, biologics, devices, and vaccines, as well as behavioral interventions across a range of disease areas.

Duties:

  • Statistical programming
  • Contributing to the quality assurance of statistical analyses
  • Writing descriptions of methods and analyses in formal reports
  • Communicating with clients and other external parties
  • Organizing and maintaining confidential project materials

 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, or Master’s degree or Ph.D. in epidemiology with considerable coursework in Biostatistics
  • Knowledge of applied statistical methodologies
  • At least 1 year of programming experience in SAS, R, or Stata

 

We are especially interested in candidates who have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of base SAS, SAS macro language, SAS graphics, and SAS/STAT
  • Experience using SAS or other statistical software to report results of clinical trials or other type of studies

 

Attention to detail, accuracy, initiative, excellent written and oral communication skills, and scientific curiosity are essential, as well as the ability to juggle several complex projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Word® and other MS Office® applications is helpful. This is an entry-level position (0-2 years of experience) with opportunity for growth.

Research Assistant

Research assistants provide administrative support under the supervision of our project managers. This role represents an essential part of setting up projects, ensuring timely completion, facilitating positive relationships with clients, and supporting the SCI infrastructure.

Duties: 

  • Organizing and maintaining confidential project materials
  • Editing and producing reports containing data analyses and descriptions
  • Ensuring quality control of reports and other documents
  • Coordinating the release of materials to clients
  • Communicating with clients and other external parties
  • Arranging internal and external meetings and drafting minutes


Requirements: 

  • BA or BS with some coursework in a natural science (e.g., biology, chemistry, or physics) or experimental psychology.
