Ed Bendert, M.S., joined Statistics Collaborative, Inc. (SCI) in 2010. He is a member of the American Statistical Association and the Society for Clinical Trials.
At SCI, Mr. Bendert has provided statistical support for clinical trials in the areas of oncology, ophthalmology, type 2 diabetes, psychiatric disorders, and HIV. He programs datasets and statistical analyses, validates SAS program code, and assists in the writing of study reports. Since 2014, Mr. Bendert has supported Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs) as the independent reporting statistician, including drafting DMC charters, managing teams of programmers, and presenting interim monitoring reports.
He supervises biostatistical staff, providing them with mentorship and opportunities for professional growth. Mr. Bendert also leads SAS program training for junior staff members.
He received his B.A. cum laude in Mathematics from Boston University (2008) and his M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota (2010). His master’s project was titled “Design Considerations in the Presence of Subgroups with Different Expected Treatment Effects”.
