Elizabeth Rudin Toretsky, M.S., joined Statistics Collaborative, Inc. (StatCollab) most recently in 2012. She also worked for StatCollab as a Biostatistician from 1993 to 1995. Since 2012, Ms. Toretsky has provided oversight of quality assurance and compliance. In this role, she performs internal audits and coordinates client audits. She is responsible for writing policies and procedures to address the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 and the company’s commitment to data privacy.
Ms. Toretsky has evaluated, streamlined, and organized the content and delivery of training at StatCollab. She also manages the training of new staff and the ongoing retraining of current staff. In addition, she develops and manages policies and procedures related to network, projects, data and programming, and quality assurance.
Ms. Toretsky began her career as a biostatistician at the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she worked on the Studies of Left Ventricular Dysfunction (SOLVD). She also worked for the Virginia Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services and at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at the National Institutes of Health before first joining StatCollab in 1993. More recently, she worked as a Project Manager at the Center on Health and Education at Georgetown University.
She received her B.A. in Biology from the University of Virginia (1985) and her M.S. in Biometry and Health Information Systems from the University of Minnesota (1988). Her master’s thesis was titled “Comparison of Growth Patterns in Cystic Fibrosis Patients at Different Severity Levels”.
