Matthew Haskins, M.P.H., joined Statistics Collaborative, Inc. (SCI) in 2015. He is a member of the American Statistical Association and the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.
At SCI, Mr. Haskins has worked with trials evaluating treatments for type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic nephropathy, chronic heart failure, sepsis, breast cancer, respiratory syncytial virus, and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as multiple studies in pediatric populations and orphan diseases. He has also been involved with SCI’s statistical consultations supporting trials for multiple sclerosis, oral mucositis, Fabry disease, and limbal stem cell deficiency. In his role as a biostatistician he programs datasets and statistical analyses, validates SAS program code, and assists in the writing of study reports. Mr. Haskins develops and maintains proprietary SAS macro code that can be used across projects at SCI.
Mr. Haskins is a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Reserve, serving as an environmental science officer. In this capacity, he provides guidance and scientific expertise to commanders in matters related to public health, protection of the health of soldiers, and disease and non-battle injury surveillance. He has served in several staff officer positions and has command experience leading both a Medical Detachment and a Headquarters Company.
Mr. Haskins’s previous professional experience includes serving as the Director of Data and Analytics and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and a Junior Analyst at the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General’s Office.
Mr. Haskins received a B.S. in Integrative Studies with a concentration in pre-medical studies from George Mason University (2003) and an M.P.H. in Epidemiology from The George Washington University Milken School of Public Health (2010).
