Yi Zhao, M.B., joined Statistics Collaborative, Inc. (SCI) in 2017.
At SCI, Ms. Zhao has worked with clinical trials in a range of disease areas, including Alzheimer’s disease, hemophilia, renal cell carcinoma, chronic heart failure, myotubular myopathy, non-small cell lung cancer, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, and multiple myeloma. In her role as a biostatistician on these studies, she programs datasets, generates graphs, tables, and listings, and validates datasets and presentations.
Prior to joining SCI, Ms. Zhao worked as a student intern at the Boehringer Ingelheim pharmaceutical company, performing sample size computations in SAS and assisting with writing a manuscript. She also worked as a student intern at the Duke University Biostatistics Core, conducting statistical analysis in SAS and R for retrospective studies using the Thomson Reuters MarketScan research database, the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project database, and Duke University Hospital data.
She received her B.S. in Statistics and Environmental Science from Iowa State University (2015) and her M.B. (Master of Biostatistics) from Duke University (2017). Her master’s thesis was titled “On Sample Size Requirement for Analytical Similarity Assessment”.
